Mary did this for over fifty years of her life, helping people, especially in third-world countries. Each week she would use her own money to buy foods, medicine, shoes, clothes. and more. She would shop in Newark, Jersey City, and Elizabeth, New Jersey and also in New York. Then every weekend she would pack the boxes and send them off with a smile on her face. Mary had a smile on her face especially when she was packing the boxes to send to those people who did not had anything to eat and were sick. Mary always believed God loved a cheerful giver, so she gave willingly to others. Currently today July 11/2008 there are over 20 million peoples worldwide now and over six million in America who are living with Alzheimer’s disease and that number is expected to grow. We at The Mary Joseph Foundation know by 2050 there would be well over 120 million individuals with Alzheimer's disease worldwide, and about 30 million in America. We are trying our best to find a cure and at the same time helping individuals who have Alzheimer's disease. There are still no CURE of any kind for Alzheimer's disease today on the world market... Dr.Williams Thomas. All funds raise are going toward helping and finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
